Portraits can be indepth character studies, revealing much about the individual and his/her personhood. A good portrait will draw you to it, pulling you in to the uniqueness of the individual. Portraits taken of a subject on a regular basis reveal inner changes in the psyche, as well as observing the changes in a face and expression over the years.
As a portrait photography, I look for the story behind the face that will transcend a portrait into a meaningful representation of the inner and outer person.
